This icon was given to me by my mother, who recently passed away to the Father’s house. It is „Our Lady of the Sevasty” in Ukrainian „Semistrelnaya Maty”. Who is Mary to me? She is my beloved mother, who protects me with her mantle, cradles me with her arms, is with me at every moment. She leads me to Jesus. I remember when I was a child, every day in the month of October we knelt with the whole family to pray the rosary. In retrospect, I realize what an important and wonderful experience it was, that the rosary in hand, is a weapon in the fight against evil. Holy Mother of God, pray for us.

Tę ikonę podarowała mi mama, która niedawno odeszła do domu Ojca. Jest to „Matka Boża Siedmiostrzelna” po ukraińsku „Semistrelnaja Maty”. Kim dla mnie jest Maryja? Jest moją ukochaną mamą, która ochrania mnie swoim płaszczem, tuli ramionami jest ze mną w każdej chwili. Prowadzi mnie do Jezusa. Pamiętam, gdy byłam dzieckiem codziennie w miesiącu październiku klękaliśmy z całą rodziną do modlitwy różańcowej. Z perspektywy czasu zdaję sobie sprawę, jakie to było ważne i wspaniałe przeżycie, że różaniec w ręku, to broń w walce ze złem. Mateńko Przenajświętsza módl się za nami.
