Procession of All Saints. People enter the sacristy to receive the relics which they will carry in procession while singing the Litany of All Saints. I met a person at this procession who was homeless a year ago. Now he is working and he also has to take part in this procession, so we met specially.  I carry the relics of St. Brother Albert for him. He looks at them and says – I’m not worthy – and runs away into the sacristy.

 I take the relic and run after him.

– How are you not worthy? How are you not worthy? 

– I am not worthy to carry such relics.

– But what happened? See, all people will carry relics. Who is worthy? The man answers – You know, this is my favourite saint. I am not worthy.

Finally he grabs the relics and walks with them through the whole procession. It was an extraordinary procession of All Saints, worthy and unworthy.  And who is worthy here anyway?

JEZUS na ulicy #11 / Kto jest godzien?

Procesja Wszystkich Świętych ludzie wchodzą do zakrystii, aby otrzymać relikwie, które będą nieśli procesjonalnie w czasie śpiewu Litanii do Wszystkich Świętych. Spotkałam się na tej procesji z osobą która rok temu była bezdomna. Teraz pracuje i ma też by wziąć udział w tej procesji specjalnie się spotkaliśmy.  Dla niego wynoszę relikwie Świętego Brata Alberta. On patrzy na nie i mówi – Nie jestem godzien-  i ucieka zakrystii.

 Biorę relikwia, biegnę za nim –  Jak nie jesteś godzien? Jak nie jesteś godzien ?  

– Ja nie jestem godzien nieść takich relikwii.

– Ale co się stało no przecież zobacz wszyscy ludzie będą nieśli relikwie. Kto tu jest godzien? Mężczyzna odpowiada – Wiesz to jest mój ulubiony święty. Ja nie jestem godzien.

Wreszcie chwyta te relikwie i przez całą procesję idzie z tymi relikwiami. To była niezwykła procesja Wszystkich Świętych, godnych i niegodnych.  A kto tu jest godzien ?
