I had already put a man on a train to go to southern Poland. It was a fast decision.  For he was standing on the street in front of a store not knowing what to do with himself – go back to his addiction or run away from it. Entirely change the environment, but how?  And he called me! A short conversation and a quick decision. I asked him a simple question:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– Do you have everything with you? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– Yes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– Will you get on the train about to go?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– Yes!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– Do you want to change your life?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– Yes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– Well, if so, then we’re going to make this happen!  You’ll get on the train, go to the south of Poland, there you’ll be close to Mary, because you’ll be close to a Marian shrine, you’ll go to confession, visit a priest, attend Mass, hike and bike, read, pray, talk to God and people. Or maybe you’ll even go to a Bible study circle? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Why that last question? The answer is simple – after all, we started reading Scripture together, so it’s worth continuing.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Now it remains for me to arrange accommodation. I call the woman who runs the agritourism with a simple question – Will you accept a man directly from the street for such a stay? And I hear – If he is sober let him come, I will go out to the station to pick him up.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

When the man stands in the doorway of the train smiling he calls out to me – I did not think that I would become such a traveler so quickly.  A quick decision and I’m on the train right away.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

JESUS be glorified in every journey for new life, as well as in the life of this woman and her family, who never on a phone call for an overnight stay never refused help. For this person and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, even if the calls were full of surprises, including help in finding food, jobs, doctors, transportation. Only God can save such people, and this is no accident. Can you be so ready? Am I able to serve another person like this?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
