– Why did you come here? – Well, exactly why did I come?\u00a0 First coffee with a friend December 4, a shelter for homeless men. Coffee, baked a yeast cake and went alone to the shelter, because that’s what I heard I was supposed to do. I had an appointment, the men knew, because earlier in the day they got invitations with quotes from the Scriptures and we sat down. it was the men, after all, I baked the cake, I baked it myself. We sat down.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

– But what are you here? What do you want here – they ask me.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

One of the men asks – After all, you could be in the Bahamas?\u00a0 – I liked the query, Bahamas warm sea, palm trees.\u00a0 – After all, you could be in the Bahamas! Why are you here?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Well indeed I had to answer – Gentlemen no I came to drink coffee with you, share a yeast cake and maybe experience something together. Coffee with a Friend, and Jesus is the Best Friend. I look at the man who asked this question about the Bahamas, this is the first time I see him with my eyes, I don’t know completely who he is, and I say to him – And you could start playing the accordion! He looks at me with big eyes, big eyes and says – How do you know? How do you know?\u00a0 – Everyone turns around and says – How do you know, he plays the accordion and so the ice began to break between us. January 8 was our next Coffee with a Friend meeting. The gentlemen brought an accordion, a drum, a guitar and we played. And the Bahamas-man played a little on the accordion, a little on the guitar. What singing there was, there was such a singing of carols that the men would open the windows and call out – Glory to God must come out! God’s glory must come out! We couldn’t part during this singing of carols a lot of things happened. and the man I first met actually knew how to play the accordion he played it, but that we formed a band. How we sang carols! We really had to open the window for the glory of God to come out! We were all moved, all of us.
