In my bag I just had a Scripture to hand over to a man who had been admitted on Christmas Eve. He came straight from the street, lived in a dumpster, was homeless, cried out for help. You would never suspect him of ever having read Scripture and indeed he didn&#8217;t. He said &#8211; I had never read it before.&nbsp; <strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">But once on that New Year&#8217;s Eve we were sitting in that long white corridor, on chairs, right next to the wall and he got a Scripture, I said to him &#8211; Listen, we will pray. &#8211; Alright &#8211; he replied. And I continue &#8211; That the Holy Spirit will teach us to pray, that He will show us the way how to pray, and that He will open the Scriptures for us today. &#8211; Alright &#8211; the man answered and we prayed. His reading of the Scriptures had just begun on New Year&#8217;s Eve. We opened the Scriptures. I say 'open it&#8217; and we read &#8211; from the Book of Kohelet chapter 1 verse 13- &#8221; And I turned my mind to ponder and to study. How much wisdom there is in everything that happens under heaven&#8221;.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What a text, what a text! The man says it like this &#8211; To ponder, wonder and explore. I am starting from scratch. I have time to ponder and study. The Holy Spirit spoke.&nbsp; &#8222;I praise you Father Lord of heaven and earth, that you have covered these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them to simple men&#8221;\/ Matthew 11:25 \/.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don&#8217;t know how to read the Scriptures? Don&#8217;t worry. Just start. Jesus be glorified in this man. We spoke on the phone yesterday and he is doing well. He is preparing for another Christmas.
