It’s October. Tt’s getting colder. It’s wet outside. The homeless who are somewhere on their own outside slowly begin to look for places to stay, places where they can get live with someone else. And so we find ourselves invited to a meeting, a peregrination with Our Lady of Fatima, in an apartment where some people already live and spend the night on what is, a decaying bed. So the problem arises of finding a bed. I came up with a pretty good idea to approach people returning from Mass and ask if you have a spare bed, we just need one. One lady, one car, no, no, maybe I’ll remember, maybe I’ll think about it, but no bed so far. I start calling friends. I call, and the answers vary. And finally I call one man and I say – Maybe you have a pretty good bed still, and you would buy a new one, because I need one for two homeless people who really sleep on broken boards, they have nothing to sleep on. So we’d get this room cleaned up and they’d have a bed. And so I leave them. I don’t know what to do next, whether to look for ads or wait. The next day, I called and got an answer: we decided to buy a new bed for our family and to bring it to the address given. Not only did he find a bed, but he also delivered it. It was a big, white, leather couch, an elegant thing. Sitting on it was a pleasure once we put it together and cleaned the room together. God is great and worth asking. May Jesus be glorified in the person who gave this couch and those who slept on it. Have you ever looked for a couch for the needy in this way?  Try it. It gives a lot of joy. Isn’t standing under the church a good place to find things for the needy? It can be a couch or anything else. After all, those who come out of Mass full of joy and love should want to share. And if they have something right away, right after Mass, it can be that wonderful. Watch out when I ask you about the couch!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
