Somehow I didn’t believe this person. I didn’t believe that he had changed his life, that he had truly met God at this retreat. After all, a homeless boy straight off the street went to a retreat. What proof is there that he has changed? He’s still homeless. And so I debated with God asking Him questions – See if he has changed or not?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

They were questions and a one-on-one conversation, me and God. Only He heard my question marks and He knew my doubts – are you sure? Then one day an inspiration came, and I didn’t think about this boy at all, as if my doubts had quieted down a bit, and other things had grown up. I got such an inspiration – drive here and now to the other side of the city and go near the church. I thought to myself here and now to the other side of town, hm, I have to take the car, but I don’t know why? But the inspiration was so strong that I said to myself okay I’ll drive, if I don’t go then I won’t check I won’t know why God is calling me there, what He wants from me. I went there, got out of the car, went to church, and in front of the church is a shrine with the Mother of God. I look and this boy is standing in front of the statue of Our Lady and praying the rosary. I see him, I see the rosary outstretched and I froze – God arranged me in front of the church, in front of that statue. I didn’t know that this boy would be there at that very moment, I didn’t know why I was going there. My doubts and question marks were almost gone, but God did not forget about it and gave me an answer. God is indeed the Lord of Time and Place. He knows our questions and talks to us.  This encounter touched me greatly. I was reminded of the passages of Scripture.  From the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 17, Jesus says to Peter – go to the lake and cast a fishing rod and take a fish in its mouth you will find a starter. –  Or when Jesus wanted to celebrate the last supper in Mark chapter 14 and said to the disciples – Go into the city. You will be met by a man carrying a jug of water. – Jesus knew it, who they would meet.  This is how I met this boy outside the church and it touched me greatly. Jesus be glorified in that person who was there and prayed.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
