The boy says to me:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8211; Are you at all Catholic? Who are you?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I say: &#8211; Wait, you&#8217;ll know soon enough. We get in the car. When we&#8217;re driving, I know where we&#8217;re going, we&#8217;re going to adoration to Jesus. He says to me: &#8211; Ey! Aren&#8217;t you, by chance, leading me to be an organ donor?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We laugh! The moment we get off in front of the church we go to the adoration chapel, we pray. It&#8217;s amazing because the boy we met on Tuesday, already on Friday , when asked if he wanted to go to the New Life spiritual retreat, said yes, I want to go.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And that&#8217;s what happened! On Tuesday we met and on Friday we went on the New Life course together. The beautiful thing about this story is that on Friday we drove together in the car, but in order to go to the retreat he spent the whole night walking the streets so he wouldn&#8217;t oversleep, so he wouldn&#8217;t drink, so he wouldn&#8217;t get dirty.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When he got in the car he was very cold, he got a sleeping bag and slept in the back seat while we drove. He was so eager to just go to the course new life, he was walking around all night. I, in general, didn&#8217;t know if he would even be at the place we had arranged, after all, I had only known him since Tuesday, a young lad who had been homeless for six months, who, as he recounted at one of the sleepovers on one base, was walked over by bugs, like a prodigal son, but he was there. He was on that Friday, after all the night walking, we went to a new life course, when he came back from it, it was those 3 days, that retreat that changed his life. He changed in his attitude towards God, towards people, he stopped being homeless, he stopped drinking.
