Mary – Great Ocean and Little Droplet, that’s her name, that’s how I recognise her. On the one hand, majesty and mystery, and on the other, humility and lowliness. She lets herself be known in this way… with delicacy and gentleness, not to frighten, not to embarrass, she shows her power as the Queen of Heaven and Earth

She delights me! I am enchanted by her attitude, her goodness, her grace. She is for me the ideal of a woman, the ideal of beauty, but also the ideal of a relationship with God.

St Maximilian Kolbe used to call her that – The Immaculate is our Ideal, that’s what he said. I have not always thought of Mary in this way. In the beginning I had no bond with her at all, I did not create relationships.  Probably because of the difficult relationship with my earthly mother. But she got to know me gradually, unobtrusively… sensitively. The more she let me know her, the more she drew me to herself… teaching me a relationship with my mum that is now beautiful.

I once heard that Mary certainly was – the best housewife in the house, the best cook, the best laundress, the best cleaner…because she invited God into every activity she did. Everything she did, she did with Love…that is why she was BEAUTIFUL in everything!

And that is how I want it! To be beautiful in every little thing. Of course, I don’t succeed! But then I turn to Mary.
– Mother, I want to do everything with your hands, to look with your eyes, to love with your heart. And I hide, as it were, in her.
I feel before her like a little child. I know that my love is tiny, poor, I am full of weaknesses, sin, but with confidence I stretch out my hands to her and say 
– Mary I want to do everything to you. Even when I receive Holy Communion, I say 
– Mary, dress me quickly in some of your dresses so that I look beautiful for your SON, so that I please HIM, you are all pleasing to HIM. Help me to please HIM.
For centuries, the saints have spoken many words about Mary, beautiful, sublime words. Some are incomprehensible to me, but I am best able to remain silent before her… and I have the impression that this is what she teaches me… silence… listening to the heartbeat of Jesus… trusting him no matter what.
As if she were saying: trust, my daughter, and do whatever my SON tells you – an impossible task! Not for me! That’s why I say to her:- Mom it’s ok, but you help me…only with you I can do it. 

It is safe to live in the knowledge that we have such a Mother. Such a Mother who constantly intercedes for us with God, who fights for every child, so that they do not perish, so that they are not lost forever. Our Mother, the mighty warrior! It is good to have such a Mother. 
These Her hands on the icon, one might say, proportionally very large. These are the hands that embrace the whole world, all people and each one of them… It’s good to have such a Mother, it’s good to be Her child.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
